Ultrasonic cleaning and sanitisation
By cleaning and sanitising the components of your watch, we can make sure that it not only looks great and stays hygienic.
Ultrasonic cleaning uses soundwaves to generate bubbles that reach spots that would be impossible to clean by hand, loosening and knocking out dirt and grime.
WATCH BRACELET ADJUSTMENT AND REPAIR
If you’ve purchased a watch elsewhere and it needs to be adjusted for you, we offer a 24 hour service at a charge of £15-25 per watch.
If your watch bracelet has become damaged or broken, or simply needs resizing to fit your wrist comfortably, we are here to help. We can undertake repairs, adjust your bracelet as required or supply a replacement if unrepairable.
WATCH SERVICING
As we work with a local watchmaker we are able to offer competitive prices and a much quicker turnaround than returning your watch to the major watch suppliers.
Having your watch serviced is the best way to ensure it stays accurate and running at its best. During a service, your watch will be disassembled, cleaned, oiled, and polished. Any damaged components will either be fixed or replaced. Once reassembled, your watch will be adjusted and checked to ensure it runs well.
Its impossible to ascertain a price for a service without the Watchmaker examining the watch so we obtain a FREE no obligation estimate for you first. As a guide a watch service starts from £165.00 upwards.
DIAL RESTORATION AND GLASS REPLACEMENT
We can restore damaged and tired-looking dials, to give your watch a new lease of life and keep it looking good as new. This is a detailed and skilled process, prices start from £200 upwards.
Breaking your watch face needn’t mean the end of its life. We can source and replace the glass for most watch brands, for a glass only prices start from £45 upwards
Watch Repair Frequently Asked Questions
Do you fit watch batteries while I wait?
Sadly no. Our watch technician works part-time so we have to ask that you leave the watch with us for a few days whilst we replace the battery for you. Don’t worry if you are without a watch – we can loan you a basic watch to keep you going whilst yours is with us.
Is my item safe whilst it’s with you? You will look after it won’t you? Is it insured whilst it is with you?
As you would expect, we treat every item as if they were our own. Yes, every item we take is covered by our insurance policy whilst it’s with us or being repaired. We follow a strict taking-in procedure before it’s entered on our computerised system for tracking.
Is the work carried out on the premises?
Watch Batteries, Bracelet Cleaning & Bracelet adjustments are carried our instore. However, Battery Pressure Test, Glass Replacements and Watch Servicing is carried out by our local watch maker. Your item is hand delivered and collected by a member of staff, not posted.
Those repairs that cannot be undertaken by our local watch maker or need to be returned to the watch manufacturer will be posted via Royal Mail secure tracked delivery and are fully insured.
How long will my repair take?
It depends on the item you are leaving and when you drop it off with us.
- Watch repairs take 2-3 weeks again depending on the work.
- Watch batteries take a few days unless they need a pressure test which takes up to two weeks.
Does the repair that you carry out come with a Guarantee?
Yes we offer a 12 month guarantee watch repairs and battery replacements. For Battery Pressure Tests whilst we can guarantee on leaving the premises it is fine, we cannot offer a further guarantee as we will have no idea if the button has been pulled out allowing water into the watch whilst or before swimming.
