As you can imagine, because we have a vast range of jewellery and services, we get asked a LOT of questions! Here are the Top 10 with our answers.

Is my item safe whilst it’s with you? You will look after it won’t you? Is it insured whilst it is with you? How do I know you won’t lose it?

As you would expect, we treat every item as if they were our own. Yes, every item we take is covered by our insurance policy whilst it’s with us or being repaired. We follow a strict taking-in procedure before it’s entered on our computerised system for tracking.

How long will my repair take?

It depends on the item you are leaving and when you drop it off with us.

  • A standard jewellery repair or ring sizing will take approximately 10-14 days.
  • More detailed jewellery repairs will date 14-21 days.
  • A bespoke item or remodelling an item can take 4-6 weeks.
  • Watch repairs take 2-3 weeks again depending on the work.
  • Watch batteries take approximately 48 hours unless they need a pressure test which takes up to two weeks.

Can I bring back a piece of jewellery if the person I bought it for doesn’t like it?

Certainly! We offer a 14-day money back guarantee on any item. After that time, and up to 28 days, we will consider a credit note or exchange. If it’s a gift you are giving in the future, be sure to tell a member of the team and they will endorse your receipt accordingly to action the 14 days from that date.

How do I know you won’t switch my diamond in the piece I leave with you?

We are immensely proud to have been trading for over 37 years and pride ourselves on honest customer service and we wouldn’t risk jeopardising this. There is no benefit to us doing this, we have a shop full of diamonds. We’ve been working for many years with Household Insurance companies to ensure your items are repaired or replaced and have an excellent reputation with them which again we would not compromise.

How do I put a Nomination link on my bracelet?

Some find this easier than others. Your first option is to return it to the shop and a member of the team will do this for you with pleasure, no charge. Alternatively check out this video

Do you fit watch batteries while I wait?

Sadly no. Our watch technician works part-time so we have to ask that you leave the watch with us for approximately 24-48 hours whilst we replace the battery for you. Don’t worry if you are without a watch – we can loan you a basic watch to keep you going whilst yours is with us.

Can you make something specially designed?

Yes we can! We work with highly-skilled goldsmiths and manufacturing companies so can make you any item of jewellery or a ring to suit. To give you an idea, check out our blog here

How do I know what ring size to buy?

Don’t worry about the ring size – find the ring you like, gift it and then return to the shop with the recipient and we will then measure their finger and either size if we have one in stock or order the ring in the required size. The only time we have to charge for this service is if it is a Sale Ring, Pre-owned Ring or you require a size 4 times larger. We always advise this in advance.
