Forum Jewellers Charity of the Year

Every year, our fabulous customers and followers are invited to choose a charity for us to support with our fundraising activities and collections.

In 2019, we raised the phenomenal sum of £5,533.28 for Forest Holme Hospice, which included the spectacular wing walk by our Deanna. The charity held a special place in Deanna’s heart as they had looked after her Grandad. Thank you to everyone who sponsored her, attended our Pearls & Prosecco and Dine with Diamonds evenings, and donated in-store.

We are very excited to announce that the charity with the most votes in our recent poll for Forum’s Charity of the Year 2020 is:

Forum Jewellers Charity of the Year

Spring – supporting Parents and Relatives through baby loss.

Here is some information about the valuable support they offer:

“Everything we do is to benefit bereaved parents and relatives who experience the loss of a baby. We offer support for baby loss that occurs at any stage of pregnancy, at, or just after birth – whatever the circumstances and however long ago. Our services include: emotional and practical support at the point of loss; professional counselling; open support meetings for parents and relatives; and ways to remember our babies. We are also here to support bereaved parents through subsequent pregnancies.

We work closely with medical professionals, and others who come into contact with parents and relatives whose babies die. By sharing our experience, we help ensure bereaved parents are treated sensitively and with genuine care.
Open support meetings are held on the 1st Wednesday of every month between 7.30pm – 9.00pm at St. Mary’s Longfleet Church Centre, Kingston Road, Poole BH15 2LT.

This is an informal parent peer support group, facilitated by qualified counsellors and health professionals.
The meetings are friendly and relaxed and open to anyone who has experienced the death of a baby, either in pregnancy or shortly after birth.”
