Forum Charity of the year 2019: Forest Holme Hospice

Every year, Forum Jewellers selects a Charity to support with a year long campaign of fundraising activities thanks generosity of customers, followers and, of course, staff.

We are delighted to support the amazing work of Forest Holme Hospice who provide palliative and end of life care to over 1,000 local people each year across Poole, Wimborne and the Purbecks. They don’t just look after people with cancer; their expertise extends to other life-limiting illnesses such as Motor Neurone Disease, other neurological conditions, heart failure, renal failure and respiratory illness.

The care and support they give is individually tailored to meet the physical, psychological and spiritual needs of all those coming into contact with staff based at Forest Holme. In order that all kinds of distress are minimised, they aim to restore as much choice and control to individuals as is feasible, within the constraints of their illness. Family members, close friends and carers are also supported, both during a person’s illness and in bereavement.

Our fundraising activities so far this year have raised an astonishing £5522! This includes a magnificent sum of £2,270 raised by our very own Deanna who braved a wing walk in September. Read more of her story below.
