Forum Jewellers Valentines Competition

Forum Jewellers Valentines Competition

In what has become something of a fun and anticipated event, Forum Jewellers in Broadstone is launching its Valentine’s Competition on 14th January which will help raise money for a local charity.

This year, visitors to the shop at are being invited to ‘Lay a Brick for Love’, where they can donate £1 and lay a red Lego® brick onto a love board in the shape of heart to spread some extra happiness to Forum’s chosen Charity for 2017, Amelia’s Rainbow.

Amelia’s Rainbow Charity was set up in memory of Amelia-Grace who died in 2010 from an aggressive childhood cancer. The idea for the Charity started with Amelia when she used some of her money to buy an Xbox for one of her friends with whom she spent time in hospital. The fund supports children in Dorset and the surrounding area who are suffering from terminal, life-limiting and serious chronic illness by creating an environment that is full of fun, laughter, achievement and memories.

Helen Molloy. Forum’s Director, explains: “After the huge success of last year’s competition where we invited customers to attach a Love Lock to the Love Bridge outside the shop, we knew we had to come up with something really different for this year. We held a poll on Facebook for our followers to nominate a local charity and Amelia’s Rainbow was the clear winner.” She continues: “We loved the idea of creating a giant heart with Lego and felt it was a very appropriate way to raise money for children.”

Chantel Cox, Head Trustee of the Amelia’s Rainbow and Amelia’s Mum, says the charity is delighted to have been chosen to be Forum’s charity for 2017: “We see ourselves as a charity dedicated to serving the local community and rely wholly on fundraising to support our grants and holiday home usage for our families. It is only through the support of the local community and businesses such as Forum Jewellers that we are able to achieve this. We are very humbled to have been chosen by such a well-established family run retailer.”

Entrants could win one of three Valentine’s gift vouchers worth £100, £150 & £250 to spend in store together with other bonus gifts. The competition closes on 14th February 2017.
